There are only 3 ingredients in this delicious Korean Strawberry Milk, which can be made in under 10 minutes. Using fresh strawberries you’ll make a puree that’s sweetened with sugar and then added to milk.

This freshly made drink is a popular summertime beverage often served in Korean cafes. Unlike store-bought strawberry milk, there are strawberry chunks and puree in this drink, which gives it somewhat of a smoothie-like texture. Some versions also use Strawberry Syrup for an even sweeter taste.

Ingredients Needed

  • Fresh Strawberries – This drink is best with fresh in-season strawberries, but you can use frozen strawberries as well.
  • Sugar – All you need is granulated sugar for this recipe or your sweetener of choice. Both honey and maple syrup will also taste great.
  • Milk – I prefer to use whole milk when making this strawberry milk, but any version of milk will work.

How to Make Korean Strawberry Milk

  1. Blend the strawberries. Place 1 1/4 cups of the fresh strawberries into a blender or food processor and blend until smooth.
  2. Prepare the strawberry syrup. Add the blended strawberries with the sugar to a small saucepan set over medium heat. Stir them together and bring the mixture to a boil. Let it boil for 1 minute, stirring occasionally. Remove from the heat and let cool.

  1. Mash the remaining strawberries. Roughly chop the remaining strawberries. Then using a fork mash them up slightly. Add them to the strawberry syrup and mix them in.
  2. Arrange the drink. Pour about 1/4 cup of the strawberry puree mixture into a glass. Using the back of a spoon spread the mixture around the inside of the glass. Pour the milk into the glass.

  • Chill the strawberry mixture. For an extra chilled beverage place, the strawberry mixture into the fridge to chill before mixing it with the milk.
  • Make it pretty. Scoop the strawberry syrup into the glass and use the back side of a spoon to spread it around the sides of the glass. When you pour the milk in it will give the strawberry milk. a pretty striped appearance.
  • Make it dairy-free. You can easily make this into a tasty dairy-free drink by swapping the milk for your favorite dairy-free milk such as almond milk, coconut milk, or oat milk.
  • Enjoy immediately. Once this drink is prepared it’s best served fresh. You can make a large batch of strawberry syrup to keep in the fridge. If stored in an air-tight container it will last for about 4 to 5 days.
