Pomegranate Mango Smoothie
Sometimes it’s extremely confusing what to eat and how to fit in all the healthy types of foods when you’re trying to eat healthily. This is why I love to sip smoothies whether they’re a snack or even a meal replacement. I find I can sneak in all kinds of nutrients, especially ones I don’t love as much as others, into these icy beverages.
One of the main healthy ingredients I like to place in my smoothies is healthy fats such as avocado and coconut oil. Sometimes I like to cram as many healthy fats as possible if I’m not getting enough in my daily diet and that’s where this pomegranate mango smoothie comes in.
Delicious frozen fruits mixed with avocado for a creamy texture and grapeseed oil, which is a healthy fat make this pomegranate mango smoothie a great meal option. This blissful smoothie also makes a great snack.
How to Make a Mango Pomegranate Smoothie
I just recently purchased a high-powered blender, which really helps to make smoothies quickly and easily, but really any blender will do. Making this or any smoothie is one of the simplest meals you can make.
- Place all the ingredients in a strong blender and blend on the liquify or a high setting until the mixture is thick and smooth.
- Pour the smoothie mixture into a tall glass and if desired sprinkle any additional toppings on top.
Can this smoothie be made into a smoothie bowl?
Yes! In order to make it into a smoothie bowl cut the milk down to 1/2 cup and increase the ice cube amount to 3/4 cup. It’s always good to use a high-powered blender when making a super thick smoothie bowl too. They tend to blend the ingredients easier.
Smoothie bowls are an even better meal for packing in additional healthy ingredients. Though they have a bit more calories you can load them up with nuts, seeds, and fruits on top.
Can I use a different oil or leave it out?
Sure. If you don’t think you’ll use grapeseed oil much or already have plenty of other healthy oils on hand then you can use one of those. The best options are coconut oil, MCT oil, or you can go in a completely different direction and use nut butter.
