Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Fresh Raspberries
  • 2 ounces Vodka
  • 1 ounce Lime Juice
  • 4 ounces Ginger Beer

Instructions

  • Muddle the raspberries. In a cocktail shaker, muddle a handful of fresh raspberries until they release their juices. If you don't have a muddler you can use a wooden spoon.
  • Shake. Add 1 ounce of lime juice and 2 ounces of vodka to the cocktail shaker. Fill the cocktail shaker with ice and shake well for 10-15 seconds until the mixture is well combined and chilled.
  • Strain. Strain the mixture into a copper mug or glass filled with ice.
  • Top it off and garnish. Top the cocktail with 4-6 ounces of ginger beer, or adjust to taste. Garnish the cocktail with a lime wedge and additional raspberries, if desired.

Notes

  • Chill your copper mugs: Use copper mugs when serving this cocktail and the mugs or glasses in the freezer before serving to keep your cocktail cold for longer.
  • To make it sweeter: For a sweeter cocktail, you can add a small amount of Simple Syrup or Raspberry Simple Syrup to the mixture before shaking.
  • Don't forget to strain the cocktail: Be sure to use a strainer when pouring the cocktail into the copper mug or glass to prevent any raspberry seeds or pulp from getting in the drink.
