Water Moccasin Shot

A Water Moccasin Shot is a potent shot made with whiskey, peach schnapps, sour mix, and triple sec. It packs a powerful punch, making it a favorite among those who enjoy bold and flavorful drinks. The origin of the name is uncertain, but some believe it's due to the drink's sneaky nature, much like the venomous snake.

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces Irish Whiskey
  • 2 ounces Peach Schnapps
  • 1 ounce Sour Mix
  • 1 ounce Triple Sec

Instructions

  • Add all the ingredients. Fill a shaker with ice and add the whiskey, peach schnapps, sour mix, and triple sec.
  • Shake vigorously. Shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds until well combined and chilled.
  • Strain. Strain the mixture into a shot glass.

Notes

  • No cocktail shaker? No problem. If you don't have a shaker, you can also mix the ingredients in a glass and stir well.
  • Want it sweeter? If you prefer a sweeter shot, you can increase the amount of peach schnapps in the recipe.
  • Garnish the rim. Coat the glass rim in coarse sugar for a fun look. You can also garnish the shot glass with a wedge of lemon or lime for added presentation.
  • Make it into a drink. Double the recipe and follow the instructions as listed. Then strain the mixture over ice for a fun cocktail.
