Ingredients

  • 2 ounces Champagne
  • 2 ounces Tequila
  • 1 ounces Orange Liqueur
  • 1/2 ounce Lime Juice
  • 1 tablespoon Simple Syrup

Instructions

  • Prepare the glass rim. Take a freshly squeezed lime wedge and run it along the rim of the glass to coat it with tangy lime juice.
  • Add salt to the rim. Spread some coarse salt on a flat surface, like a plate. Dip the lime-coated glass rim into the salt and gently wiggle it back and forth while applying light pressure to adhere the salt to the rim.
  • Shake and strain. Add ice cubes into your cocktail shaker and add the tequila, orange liqueur, lime juice, and simple syrup. Shake vigorously for 10 to 15 seconds and strain over ice into the prepared glass.
  • Top it off. Top off the cocktail with champagne or sparkling wine.

Notes

  • Choose the right champagne or sparkling wine: Look for a dry or brut champagne or sparkling wine with crisp, clean flavors that will complement the other ingredients in the cocktail. Avoid overly sweet or overly fruity options.
  • Add champagne or sparkling wine just before serving: To preserve the effervescence of the bubbly, add the champagne or sparkling wine just before serving, either by topping off each glass individually or by pouring it into the pitcher just before serving.
  • Experiment with variations: Don't be afraid to get creative and try different variations of the champagne margarita, such as using flavored liqueurs, adding fresh fruits, or incorporating herbs or spices to customize the flavor profile to your liking.
