Mint Mojito Coffee Recipe

Mint Mojito Coffee is a refreshing and delicious iced coffee that combines the boldness of cold brew coffee with the sweetness of simple syrup, the tanginess of lime zest, and the freshness of mint leaves. With just a few simple ingredients and a bit of muddling, you can create a coffee drink that will impress you.

Ingredients

  • 2 - 3 large Mint Leaves
  • 1 teaspoon Lime Zest
  • 1 tablespoon Granulated Sugar or Simple Syrup
  • cup Cold Brew Coffee
  • Cream optional

Instructions

  • Crush the mint leaves. Begin by crushing the mint leaves in a cocktail shaker using a muddler or the back of a wooden spoon until they are bruised and release their aroma.
  • Add the remaining ingredients. Add the lime zest, simple sugar, and cold brew coffee, and top it off with ice and a splash of cream if using.
  • Shake and strain. Vigorously shake the mixture and strain it over a tall glass filled with ice. Garnish with a mint leaf and add more cream if necessary.

Notes

  • Want a sweeter drink? If you prefer a sweeter drink, you can adjust the amount of simple syrup or sugar to taste or try a different syrup such as Brown Sugar Syrup or Demerara Syrup.
  • Don't over-muddle the mint. Finally, be careful not to over-muddle the mint leaves, as this can release bitter flavors. A gentle muddle is all you need to release the mint's aromatic oils. Over-muddling can also result in tiny pieces mixed into the drink.
  • Turn it into a cocktail! You can turn this into an afternoon pick-me-up and cocktail by adding 1 1/2 ounces of dark rum.
