Ingredients

  • 1 cup Apple Cider
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon Juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon Honey
  • 2 ounces Whiskey or bourbon

Instructions

  • Heat the cider. Add the apple cider, lemon juice, and cinnamon to a small saucepan and bring to a simmer, stirring to combine. Once steaming pour the mixture into a mug or glass.
  • Sweeten. Pour the honey into the glass with the apple cider mixture and stir it to combine.
  • Add the alcohol. Pour the whiskey, or bourbon, over the cocktail and garnish with a cinnamon stick and apple slice.

Notes

  • Use a different alcohol: The best liquor for apple cider is the one you prefer. Instead of using whiskey, you can also use bourbon, rum, and vodka to spike your drink.
  • Non-alcoholic: This beverage can easily be turned into a mocktail by leaving the whiskey out. It will taste just as delicious.
