Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Rubber Spatula

Ingredients

  • cups Homemade Whipped Cream or Cool Whip
  • 1/2 cup Sour Cream
  • 3 cups Mini Marshmallows
  • 1 15-ounce can Mandarin Oranges drained
  • 1 15-ounce can Pineapple Chunks drained
  • 1 cup Shredded Coconut
  • 3/4 cup Cherries pitted and halved, or canned.
  • 3/4 cup Chopped Pecans optional

Instructions

  • Fold the whipped cream and sour cream together. If you're making homemade whipped cream, start by preparing it first and then add it to a mixing bowl. If not, simply fold together the Cool Whip and sour cream until well mixed.
  • Mix in the remaining ingredients. Stir the marshmallows, mandarin oranges, pineapple, coconut, and fresh cherries, gently stirring until fully combined.
  • Chill. Place this easy ambrosia salad in the fridge to chill for a minimum of 30 minutes before serving. Sprinkle chopped pecans on top (optional).

Notes

Make-Ahead Instructions: This ambrosia salad recipe can be prepared up to 1 day in advance of when you plan on serving it. Before serving, gently stir the salad in case any fruit juice has drained to the bottom.
