DIY Pink Drink Recipe

There's no need to go to Starbucks when you can make the famous Pink Drink at home. This DIY pink drink recipe is a blend of passion tea, white grape juice, and coconut milk that's not only delicious but also beautiful.

Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1 Tazo Iced Passion Tea Bag
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 cup White Grape Juice
  • 3/4 cup Coconut Milk
  • 2 tablespoons Freeze-dried Strawberries

Instructions

  • Place the tea bag in a large measuring cup and then bring the water to a soft boil. Pour the water over the tea bag and let the tea steep for 1 to 2 minutes. Remove the bag and throw it out.
  • Pour the white grape juice into the measuring cup and stir it to combine.
  • Fill a tall glass with ice and pour the tea mixture into the bottom filling the cup to about halfway.
  • Pour the coconut milk on top of the tea mixture and stir gently to just slightly combine it. If using stir in some freeze-dried strawberries.

Notes

  • To get the pink coloring you must use the Tazo passion tea bags brand. Other brands will make the same taste, however, their color is not as bold.
  • Avoid coconut milk clumps in your drink by pouring the coconut milk through a mesh sieve before using it to top off your drink.
  • Make it sweeter. If this beverage isn't sweet enough you can add honey, maple syrup, or even your favorite sweetener. You can also use Starbucks vanilla syrup for added flavor.
  • Make it even faster. The tea brews more than you will need for one cup so pour it into a jar with a lid and keep it stored in the fridge. Then you can whip your drink up quicker than any barista.
