Equipment

  • Cocktail Mixing Glass
  • Cocktail Spoon

Ingredients

  • ounce Midori or other melon liqueur
  • 1 ounce Coconut Rum
  • 4 ounce Lemon-Lime Soda

Instructions

  • Coat the glass rim. Take a wedge of lime and use it to run along the rim of your glass. This utilizes freshly squeezed lime juice.
  • Dredge the rim in sugar. Spread some coarse sugar on a plate or flat surface. Then dip the lime-coated rim of the glass into the sugar, gently moving it back and forth while applying light pressure to ensure it sticks.
  • Mix the ingredients. Pour the melon liqueur and then the coconut rum into a cocktail mixing glass and stir to combine.
  • Pour over ice and top it off. Pour the mixture over ice into the prepared glass with the sugar-coated rim. Top the drink off with lemon-lime soda.

Notes

  • Adjust the sweetness. Depending on your preference, you can adjust the sweetness of the cocktail by adding more or less Midori (melon liqueur). Feel free to experiment with the ratios to find the perfect balance for your taste.
  • Chill the ingredients. To ensure a refreshing drink, make sure to chill the coconut rum, Midori, and lemon-lime soda before mixing. You can also chill the glassware in advance for an extra-cool serving experience.
  • Experiment with variations. Feel free to explore variations of the Caribbean Water cocktail by adding your own twists. Consider incorporating different fruit juices, such as pineapple or mango, or experimenting with flavored syrups to customize the flavors to your liking.
