Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons Ground Allspice
  • 2 tablespoons Ground Cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons Ground Ginger
  • 1 tablespoon Nutmeg
  • 1/2 tablespoon Ground Cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper

Instructions

  • Mix the spices. Pour the allspice, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, (or a nutmeg substitute), cloves, and ground black pepper into a small mixing bowl. Whisk the spices together until fully blended.
  • Store. Place the spice mix into a spice jar or jar with a lid and store it in the pantry.

Notes

Store homemade gingerbread spice in an airtight container, away from light and heat, to maintain its freshness and flavor. When stored properly it can last for up to 6 months.
