Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1 - 2 ounces Espresso
  • 2 tablespoons Pistachio Syrup
  • 1/2 tablespoon Browned Butter
  • 8 ounces Milk

Instructions

  • Prepare the brown butter. Place the salted butter into a small skillet or saucepan and let it melt until browned.
  • Brew the espresso. Brew your espresso or strongly brewed coffee, and pour it into your mug of choice.
  • Add the flavor. Spoon the browned butter into the mug along with the Pistachio Syrup.
  • Pour in the milk. Steam your milk or use the stovetop method. To make steamed milk on the stovetop pour the milk into a small saucepan and heat it on medium heat until scalded, but not boiling. If you have a frother you can then froth the milk next or follow these guidelines on How to Froth Milk.

Notes

  • Make your own pistachio syrup. Making your own Pistachio Syrup when preparing a pistachio latte is a great choice for achieving a fresher, more authentic flavor. It's easy to make and you can make a large batch quickly.
  • You don't need an espresso machine. You don't need an espresso machine to prepare espresso for your latte. Instant espresso or strongly brewed coffee can be excellent alternatives.
  • An electric milk frother helps but isn't necessary. I love my milk frother but you can learn How to Froth Milk at home without one too.
