Pistachio Latte

Savor the creamy embrace of the Pistachio Latte! Experience the rich, roasted essence of espresso beautifully balanced with the nutty allure of pistachios. There’s no need to head to Starbucks when you can make this copycat version at home.

When I first heard of creative lattes like the Strawberry Latte and Mint Mojito Coffee I was unsure if they would be good, but I’m here to tell you they are incredible. This pistachio latte is even better! Sure you could go to Starbucks and get one, but you can make a better one at home and I’ll show you how.

How to Make a Pistachio Latte

If you’re familiar with the Starbucks Pistachio Latte, it boasts a blend of espresso, 2% milk, a delightful sweet pistachio sauce, and a finishing touch of their delectable salted brown butter topping. This version re-creates those same flavors.

  1. Prepare the brown butter. Place the salted butter into a small skillet or saucepan and let it melt until browned.
  2. Brew the espresso. Brew your espresso or strongly brewed coffee, and pour it into your mug of choice.

  1. Add the flavor. Spoon the browned butter into the mug along with the Pistachio Syrup.
  2. Pour in the milk. Steam your milk or use the stovetop method. To make steamed milk on the stovetop pour the milk into a small saucepan and heat it on medium heat until scalded, but not boiling. If you have a frother you can then froth the milk next or follow these guidelines on How to Froth Milk.

Recipe Notes and Tips

  • You don’t need an espresso machine. You don’t need an espresso machine to prepare espresso for your latte. Instant espresso or strongly brewed coffee can be excellent alternatives.
  • An electric milk frother helps but isn’t necessary. I love my milk frother but you can learn How to Froth Milk at home without one too.
