Equipment

  • Saucepan
  • Frother optional (or whisk)

Ingredients

Instructions

  • Prepare the espresso or coffee. Brew your espresso or coffee first and then pour it into your desired glass.
  • Add the caramel sauce. You have two options, the first is to add the caramel sauce directly to the glass or mix it in with the steamed milk.
  • Steam the milk. Pour the milk into a small saucepan and heat it on medium heat until scalded, but not boiling. If you have a frother you can then froth the milk or follow these guidelines on How to Froth Milk. Pour the milk into the glass and fill it almost to the top. Stir it to combine and spoon some of the frothed milk on top.
  • Topping. You can add some Whipped Cream (especially Cinnamon Whipped Cream) for an extra indulgent drink and then drizzle some additional caramel sauce on top.

Notes

You can make either a Caramel Iced Coffee, which is similar, or prepare an iced version of this latte. To do this the espresso will need to be chilled as well as the milk. Instead of heating the milk on the stove use a frother or whisk to froth it before adding it to the drink.
