Equipment

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons Pumpkin Puree
  • 2 tablespoons Maple Syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pumpkin Pie Spice
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup Non-Dairy Milk
  • 1 to 2 shots Espresso or strongly brewed coffee

Instructions

  • Brew the espresso or coffee. Pour 1 to 2 shots of espresso or 1/4 cup of strongly-brewed coffee.
  • Prepare the pumpkin spice mixture. Place the pumpkin puree, Maple Syrup, vanilla extract, Pumpkin Pie Spice, and non-dairy milk into a small saucepan and heat over medium heat, but don't let it boil. You want to scald it. Either pour the mixture directly into the mug over the espresso then use a frother or learn How to Froth Milk before pouring it in.
  • Add a topping. I recommend adding a topping such as Vegan Whipped Cream or even using some Cold Foam.

Notes

  • Sweetener: Customize the sweetness to your liking. Maple syrup, agave nectar, or coconut sugar are excellent vegan options. You can also use homemade syrup such as Brown Sugar Syrup, Vanilla Syrup for Coffee, or Demerara Syrup.
  • Froth the milk. Froth your non-dairy milk well for a creamy texture. You can use a frother, blender, or vigorously whisk by hand.
  • Add whipped cream. Top with Vegan Whipped Cream and a sprinkle of pumpkin spice for an extra indulgent touch.
