Apple Cider Slushie

Savor the true essence of autumn with an Apple Cider Slushie, where the purest apple flavors meet the icy thrill of a chilled sensation.

This fall treat makes the perfect drink for holidays such as Thanksgiving and Christmas. Similar to Pumpkin Juice and Wassail it’s made non-alcoholic, but just like in Spiked Apple Cider and an Apple Cider Hot Toddy you can add alcohol if you like.

What I Love About This Recipe

  • Kid-Friendly: Suitable for all ages, apple cider slushies make for a family-friendly beverage option, perfect for sharing with loved ones.
  • Natural Sweetness: The natural sweetness of apple cider provides a delightful contrast to the icy texture, creating a harmonious and satisfying flavor profile.
  • Perfect for Parties: Serve these slushies at gatherings, picnics, and events to impress your guests with a delightful and refreshing drink. It’s a perfect Halloween treat as well.

How to Make an Apple Cider Slushie

  1. Freeze. This step is optional regular ice cubes will work. Fill an ice cube tray with apple cider (about 3 cups) and let freeze completely. Then move to the next step.
  2. Blend. Place the apple cider, ice cubes (or apple cider ice cubes), and cinnamon into a high-powered blender. Blend until smooth.
  3. Serve. Pour the slushie into cups and garnish with apple slices and cinnamon sticks.

Recipe Variations

  • Alcoholic Apple Slushie: Add some alcohol to the blender along with the other ingredients for a boozy version. Some options to try are dark rum, whiskey, brandy, vodka, gin, tequila, or cinnamon schnapps.
  • Add ice cream: You can create a slushie with a creamy twist by adding a scoop of vanilla ice cream. This addition transforms the classic slushie into a delightful apple cider float
