Ingredients Needed

Oreo dirt cake recipe ingredients in various bowls.
  • Oreos – This cake couldn’t come together without them! You’ll need a whole 15-ounce package (or family-size) of Oreos to crush up for this recipe. Any variety will work too. You can use double stuff, golden Oreos, or gluten-free.
  • Butter – Half a cup, or 1 stick, of softened butter, is all you need and you can use either salted or unsalted.
  • Cream Cheese – Softened cream cheese creates a rich, creamy texture similar to cheesecake. You can’t skip it!
  • Milk – Virtually any milk will work for this recipe, but I’d suggest a rich, creamy one like whole milk or even heavy cream.
  • Instant Vanilla Pudding – You will need instant vanilla pudding, not cook & serve, and you can use either regular vanilla or French vanilla. If you’d like to add some additional flavor you can also use instant banana pudding or even instant chocolate pudding for a truly decadent version.
  • Cool Whip – Gives the cake a light, fluffy texture. You can also make your own whipped cream instead.
