If you’re looking for a fun and fruity cocktail to enjoy on a warm summer day, a Raspberry Collins might just be a perfect choice.

    • Fresh Raspberries
    • Raspberry Syrup
    • Gin
    • Lemon Juice
    • Club Soda

How to Make a Raspberry Collins

Raspberry collins process steps 1 and 2.
    1. Muddle the raspberries – Place the fresh raspberries into a cocktail shaker and muddle them or mash them with a wooden spoon. Making sure they break apart.
    2. Shake vigorously – Add some ice to the cocktail shaker along with the gin, lemon juice, and raspberry syrup. Shake the mixture vigorously.
Process step 3 for making a raspberry collins.
    1. Double strain the mixture – Fill a collins glass or highball glass with ice and set a small mesh sieve on top. Double strain the cocktail mixture into the glass.
    2. Pour in the club soda – Top with club soda, leaving about an inch of space at the top of the glass. Garnish with fresh raspberries and a lemon wedge.

    Tips & Tricks

    • Make your own syrup. If you don’t have raspberry syrup on hand, you can make your own by blending fresh raspberries with simple syrup in a blender, then straining the mixture to remove the seeds and pulp.
    • Add some more flavor. To make your Raspberry Collins even more refreshing, try adding a few slices of cucumber or a sprig of fresh mint to the shaker before shaking.
    • Make it sweeter. For a sweeter cocktail, you can adjust the amount of raspberry syrup to taste. Add more for a stronger raspberry flavor, or less for a more subtle hint of sweetness.
    • Pour the club soda slowly. When adding the carbonated water, pour it slowly and carefully down the side of the glass to prevent it from fizzing over.

    FAQS

    What is a raspberry collins?

A Raspberry Collins is a cocktail made with gin, lemon juice, raspberry syrup, and carbonated water. It’s a fruity and refreshing drink that’s perfect for sipping on a warm day.

Can I make it without gin?

If you don’t drink alcohol or don’t like gin, you can make a Raspberry Collins with a non-alcoholic gin substitute or omit the gin altogether for a raspberry lemonade. You can also swap the gin for vodka, rum, or even tequila.

Can I make a Raspberry Collins in advance?

It’s best to make a Raspberry Collins fresh when you want to drink it, as the carbonated water may lose its fizz over time. However, you can prepare the raspberry syrup in advance and keep it in the refrigerator for up to a week.
