Iced Vanilla Coffee
Experience the ultimate coffee sensation with our Vanilla Iced Coffee. Each sip is an invitation to a world of flavor, where refreshment meets indulgence. This easy-to-make icy beverage only has three ingredients, Iced Coffee or Cold Brew, cream or milk, and Vanilla Syrup for Coffee.
Ingredients Needed
- Coffee – Brewed coffee is the essential base for this iced beverage. You can use cold brew by making Mason Jar Cold Brew or French Press Cold Brew, or you can use iced coffee. Some of my favorite versions are Instant Iced Coffee and French Press Iced Coffee.
- Milk – You can use any version of milk, such as dairy milk, almond milk, soy milk, or oat milk, for making vanilla iced coffee.
- Vanilla Syrup – I prefer to use a Vanilla Simple Syrup, which is easy to make at home and boasts a richer flavor than store-bought syrups.
To give your drink some extra special touches you can use Coffee Iced Cubes and then top it off with some Cold Foam and Nutmeg.
How to Make Vanilla Iced Coffee
- Add the Vanilla Syrup to your preferred glass. You can add as much or as little as you’d like.
- Pour the coffee in and stir to mix it evenly with the syrup.
- Add the cream or milk. Lastly, fill the remainder of your glass with ice. I like to use Coffee Ice Cubes so the drink doesn’t get watered down as the ice melts.
FAQS
The primary difference between vanilla iced coffee and vanilla iced latte lies in their base and ingredients. The iced coffee starts with chilled brewed coffee served over ice. Then is sweetened with vanilla syrup, with milk as an optional addition. In contrast, an iced latte begins with espresso shots mixed with vanilla syrup and is then chilled. It features a more significant milk presence, providing a creamy texture and making it espresso-centric with a higher milk-to-coffee ratio.
In an iced coffee beverage, like an iced vanilla latte, at Starbucks, each pump of their syrups is roughly equivalent to one tablespoon. If you enjoy your cafe version using two to three pumps of syrup then you’ll need 2 to 3 tablespoons.
Cold brew coffee is often considered stronger due to two main reasons. First, it’s typically brewed with a higher coffee-to-water ratio. Then steeped for an extended period, resulting in a coffee concentrate that can have more caffeine per ounce. Second, cold brewing produces a smoother, less bitter taste compared to hot-brewed coffee, making the flavor seem more intense.
