Maple Latte

Savor the warm embrace of autumn with a Maple Latte! Experience the rich, velvety essence of freshly brewed espresso harmoniously blended with the comforting sweetness of pure maple syrup.

I find myself drawn to the simplicity of lattes like the Breve Latte, and I have a preference for those that offer a mild touch of sweetness like the maple latte or my Honey Latte.

What I Love About This Recipe

  • Autumn in a Cup: A Maple Latte captures the essence of fall with its warm, comforting flavors.
  • Natural Sweetness: The use of pure Maple Syrup adds a delightful and natural sweetness to your coffee.
  • Perfect Balance: It strikes the perfect balance between the boldness of coffee and the sweetness of maple, creating a harmonious flavored latte.

Ingredients Needed

Espresso, steamed milk, and maple syrup in bowls for a maple syrup latte.
  • Espresso – For the perfect espresso, you’ve got options. An espresso machine ensures consistency and authenticity, while a Nespresso offers convenience without sacrificing flavor. If you’re feeling rustic, choose a robust dark roast and brew it in a French Press for a full-bodied result. And when you’re in a hurry, instant espresso serves as a quick and convenient substitute.
  • Steamed Milk – I prefer to steam my milk on the stovetop and then use a frother or you can follow these guidelines on How to Froth Milk.
  • Maple Syrup – Use pure maple syrup or if you don’t have any you can always use a Maple Syrup Substitute.

  • Add espresso. Pour the prepared espresso into the glass first.
  • Sweeten. Pour the maple syrup over the espresso.
  • Top with steamed milk. Pour the milk into a small saucepan and heat it on medium heat until scalded, but not boiling. Using a frother, froth the milk until a layer of foam forms on top. As you pour the milk in ensure you keep the foam from entering by using a spoon. Then use the spoon to scoop the foam on top.

Recipe Variations

  • Make an iced maple latte. Embrace the versatility of the Maple Latte, as it can also be served in a refreshing iced version. The same delightful combination of freshly brewed espresso and pure maple syrup can be transformed into a chilled treat
